The water jacket encompasses the precision-machined cooling water spaces surrounding the cylinder liner bore, cylinder head combustion face, and exhaust valve cage. Pressurised fresh water coolant is circulated through these passages at controlled temperatures — typically 70-85°C in the high-temperature circuit — removing the intense heat generated by combustion and maintaining all components within safe operating temperature limits.
